Blue Goose Racing

THSCC put on a good event in Danville, VA. The weather was great, though a cool morning meant that the morning runs didn’t have much grip on a cold surface. The afternoon runs were much better. We even had some time for a few fun runs at the end, though I probably would have been better off skipping those – not only did I drive slower, I also managed to rip the front bumper off the kart by hitting cones!

Saturday probably couldn’t have been a better day for an autocross. The weather was perfect, the location was great, and the course was a lot of fun. CCR did a great job running the event and even managed to squeeze in 5 runs! Congratulations to David for winning his class and kudos(?) to Kenny for getting the second fastest raw time after loaning his kart out to the driver that got FTD. Blue Goose Racing was also glad to have Norm back with us.

…and the MR2 does what the MR2 does to people who haven’t driven it at an autox before.

Sanford gave us a beautiful day for an autox and the Tarheel Sports Car Club did a great job hosting a very large event. As an old airfield, Sanford offers lots of space (and slaloms!) but makes you walk a long way to earn it.

This was actually a two-day event, but we only stayed for the first, so the results below have been modified to reflect only the first day’s numbers.
